PA 12 (Polyamide 12) is a thermoplastic polymer from the nylon family, a semi-crystalline thermoplastic with excellent mechanical properties, chemical resistance, and flexibility.
Polyamide 12 tubes are available in three flexibility levels:
- Flexible (PA12-PHL)
- Semi-Rigid (PA12-PHLY)
- Rigid (PA12-HL)
Key Features:
- Excellent dimensional stability, mechanical strength, and abrasion resistance
- High chemical and pressure resistance
- Operates in extreme temperatures (-60°C to +130°C)
- Tube Customization – Customizable outer diameter (OD), inner diameter (ID), and length to meet specific customer needs
- ID tolerance ±0.2mm
- Made from DIN 73378-compliant raw materials
PA 12 tubes Properties:
- Chemical resistance (oils, solvents, greases)
- Low moisture absorption (maintains stability in humid environments)
- Mechanical strength (high impact, wear, and tensile resistance)
- Low friction (ideal for moving parts like gears and bearings)
- Thermal stability (-40°C to +120°C)
- UV resistance (suitable for outdoor applications)
- Low density (lightweight compared to other nylons)
Common Uses:
- Automotive (fuel lines, brake hoses)
- Industrial machinery (delivering compressed air and fluids)
- Electrical components
- Consumer goods
- Printing
- Security
- Cooling Lines
- Automation
- Negative pressure
PA 12’s superior properties make it a versatile, high-performance material for demanding applications.
